The Clothes Show Live Young Hairdresser of the Year 2009, presented by HJi and supported by Your Hair, is back in 2009, recognising talented young stylists under the age of 30.
The nationwide competition is searching for an on-trend commercial look created by an up-and-coming hairdresser with between three and five years experience.
About the Prize
As well as the kudos of being named the brightest young hairdressing talent in the UK, the winner will receive £1,000 prize money, a trophy and help to PR their achievement.
How to Enter
To take part in the Young Hairdresser of the Year all you have to do is submit a colour photograph of a look you have created that reflects the current commercial trends.
Your image does not have to be have taken exclusively for the competition, but it does need to be a look that you can recreate on stage at the Clothes Show Live if you reach the final and you cannot use wigs, hairpieces, extensions or strands.
Your photographic entry must be clearly labelled and must be submitted along with the Young Hairdresser of the Year entry form by 5pm on Friday, 30th October. You can read the rules and regulations in full here.
Judging of the photographic entries will take place on the Wednesday, 4th November by an esteemed panel of hairdressers and industry experts.
The 20 finalists will then be invited to recreate their look at the Clothes Show Live at the NEC Birmingham on Sunday, 6th December when the winner will be chosen.
