Guy Mascolo, co-founder of the TONI&GUY salon group, has died suddenly of a heart attack in his home in Dallas in the small hours of this morning.Since then the company had grown from a single shop to thousands of salons in over 20 countries worldwide.
Hairdressing was in Guy's blood and some of his earliest memories are said to include picking up hairdressing pins at the age of three in his father's salon, but he was also a lover of music and the arts and had set up his own recording studio in West Hollywood.
Tony Rizzo, who founded the Alternative Hair Show, was first to lead the tributes to Guy. He said: "Guy was extremely special and touched countless lives, a true giver and a great family man. He will truly be missed worldwide."

Guy has been a great friend for nearly 25 years, my heart is broken, he is family, there is no other man like him, genuine, sincere, generous, down to earth and so much fun. He is greatly missed.
