British Hairdressing Awards 2008 In Summary

There was glitz, there was glamour, there was excitement, there was passion, there was fashion: HJ's British Hairdressing Awards 2008, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, really was a night to be remembered.
If you weren't there to enjoy the fun and frollicks here's a brief guide to how the evening's events unfolded...
It was...
In the elegant surroundings of London's Grosvenor House Hotel London. At 6pm proceedings began with a drinks reception in the Ballroom while Schwarzkopf's guests mingled at an exclusive champagne reception and the talented finalists gathered in the Great Room.
Guests included...
The best of British hairdressing, including all the British Hairdressing Awards finalists, British Hairdresser of the Year nominees an array of Hall of Fame members and television presenter Michael Underwood.
They wore..
Jewel colours of iridescent purples and shimmering turquoises as well as a multitude of stunning LBDs. This really was a night of high glamour with guests donning everything from designer vintage to on-trend looks.
They said...
"This is the biggest night for British Hairdressing and you guys scrub up beautifully. It is going to be a memorable night for all of you" - host Graham Norton.
"This reaffirms that British Hairdressing is still the best in the world and has become the benchmark for creativity" - Jayne Lewis-Orr, HJ's publisher and editor in chief.

What Not To Wear star Mica Paris sang her classic hit 'You Are My One Temptation' along with her latest release.
The talking points...
The British Hairdresser of the Year nominees' catwalk presentation of Contemporary Glamour.
From strong geometric shapes to avant garde styles and party hair, each of the hair icons injected their own personality into their look. The biggest cheer was reserved for Angelo Seminara's model - a gorgeous little girl, who stole the catwalk show.
But of course the biggest talking point was hob Salons' success at scooping three prestigious awards.
The post British Hairdressing Awards partying...
If there is one thing that British hairdressers are great at - aside from leading the world in the hair stakes - it's partying! So it was back to the Ballroom to party, celebrate or drown the sorrows, and dance the night away.

i would like to know where and whome has the results for all the winners? is there an independant judge with all the results or do they go behind closed doors where the resulds and points are not known to any one exept an individuall person. as it seems to be always the same people winning, possable too many people getting looked after. (verry suspicious)

The results are collated and audited by an independent team of auditors, with the judges handing their marking sheets directly to auditors before they leave the judging room. All the photographs are judged anonymously – so no names or identification next to them – in complete silence to avoid any collaboration and only by those who are qualified to recognise beautiful, creative hair work. If you look at previous winners you will see there are many new and different names appearing each and every year and at both the first and second round judging, the same strict judging criteria is adhered to.
