Whatever the haircare problem, with so many products on the market there’s guaranteed to be an in-salon or take-away treatment to help.
World-renowned trichologist Philip Kingsley sets the record straight on some of the most common problem areas and HJ seeks out a few solutions.
Chemically-Treated Hair | Dry Hair | Greasy Hair | Flaky Scalp |
Philip Says:
"Chemically-treated hair is always dryer than virgin hair and treatments similar to those for dry hair are needed. However, it is very important to use products containing sunscreens.
"The sun’s rays are really the same as using bleach. Treatments need to be applied more frequently and the steaming or heating times will need to be extended.
"Chemically-treated hair or longer hair is always drier on the ends and it is necessary to put more treatment product on the tips."
The In-Salon Solution:

Milk_shake natural milk mask from z.one concept is a powdered milk that is activated after being mixed in the salon with a fluid natural mask base. It acts on the internal and external hair structure to restructure the cortex and revitalise hair. The milk protein, fruit and honey extracts leave hair moisturised, soothed and shiny.
Price: from £15.
The Take-Away Solution:
