Creating The Pob For Afro Hair

The Pob

"With the bob continuing to reign supreme this season, this look offers a twist to the must-have style. Inspired by Posh’s perfectly polished Pob, extensions were razor-cut to create dishevelled, trendy texture, rather than the blunt finish we usually see. Sassy sprinkles of copper hair pieces were included to accentuate the cut and texture, while the hair was smoothed with serum, shaped with irons and separated with shine wax for added definition."

  • Koleston Perfect 8/74 and 5/77 from the Deep Brown family of shades at Wella Professionals is perfect for a hint of colour.
  • Apply a few drops of Mizani’s ThermaStrength Strengthening Style Serum (£11.65) through the lengths and ends before smoothing and flicking with irons. The patented advanced anti-breakage ceramide technology helps protect hair from heat styling trauma, while the botanically enriched formula leaves locks strong and shiny.
  • Tecni.art supreme smooth (£12.30) controls and conditions, banishing static for good. Natural yucca derivatives and ceramides fortify, hydrate and smooth hair from root to tip, while herbal extracts leave hair soft and manageable.
  • Redken sleek obedience balm (£14.85) will add texture to any style.
  • Fizz wax spray from Clynol (£8.35) adds definition to texture.

  • Schwarzkopf IGORA Royal is the perfect colour system for multiple contrasts, with outstanding highlight and lowlight effects in all colour directions. IGORA Royal Fashion+ promotes and communicates highlights and lowlights together, with a choice of 10 colour directions.

I like the rugged look of this style, along with the blended colour. Likes really good. Great for women with short hair, as it adds volume.
