The Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa held their annual 'Apprentice of the Year' competition which culminated in their very own end of year fashion show!

The competition was open to all the 17 juniors from the salon. Senior stylists then voted based on the dedication, potential and progress made by the juniors over the course of 2007.
Second year trainee Joey Wheeler, who has been working at the salon for just over a year, won the coveted prize and was awarded an engraved trophy. He said: "I am so overwhelmed and shocked to have won as I really wasn’t expecting it. As I was collecting my trophy from Richard and Hellen, I could see my mum crying in the background!"
The fashion show gave the juniors an opportunity to showcase their talents. As well as selecting their own theme, which varied from 'Runaway Bride' to 'Rock Chick', the juniors styled the models' hair and clothes; organized makeup and even choreographed the models.
Nando Lopes, Training Director and Artistic Team Member who organised the competition said: "The night was a dream, I never imagined that the fashion show would go that well, with the juniors having no experience in putting on shows but they did us all proud.
"I am really impressed with them all. It was a great night."
