Have you tuned in to Celebrity Scissorhands on BBC3? I watched the first episode from behind a cushion, waiting for the weird and wonderful celebrities to destroy our great industry. But with Lee Stafford as salon manager and Essensual's Stephen Glendinning and Ben Cooke from Lockonego guiding them, it showed what a difficult job cutting hair actually is.
Apart from the freaky clients with dreadlocks and messy hair, Lee has stressed the importance of good consultations, making the client feel special and being professional at all times. It can be cringe-worthy at times, and it has shown what a difficult job hairdressing is but when done well, the smile on a clients face says it all.
