Get the look: create a textured crop with tigi TIGI layered blunt red haircut Blunt cuts with texture and movement are always a popular choice for clients, providing versatility for styling and endless opportunities for personalisation. In this easy-to-follow step-by-step, the team from TIGI demonstrate how to create this gorgeous cut. 1--AC_Iva_002_1000 1 Take a section from above the high point of the recession area to below the crown. 2--AC_Iva_003_1000 2 Take a deep zig-zag section to isolate the fringe about 3" from the front hairline. 3--AC_Iva_004_1000 3 Starting at the back, take a central vertical section. Comb and elevate the hair to 90 degrees and blunt-cut, slightly increasing the length to the nape. 4--AC_Iva_005_1000 4 Continue working with vertical sections towards the ears using the same technique. 5--AC_Iva_006_1000 5 Slightly over-direct the sides back to maintain the front perimeter. 6--AC_Iva_007_1000 6 Note the change of hand and body position and repeat the same technique on the other side. 7--AC_Iva_010_1000 7 At the top, take a central vertical section, comb the hair at 90 degrees to the head, over-direct back towards the crown and blunt-cut to increase the length towards the front. 8--AC_Iva_012_1000 8 Over-direct the remaining hair within the top section to the centre guide and blunt-cut to create an inversion. 9--AC_Iva_013_1000 9 Release the front section and within the fringe work with vertical sections. Comb each section 90 degrees to the head and alternate elevation from section to section to create random length and movement through the fringe. 10--AC_Iva_018_1000 10 Reshape the perimeter length as desired. 11--AC_Iva_020_1000 11 Apply TIGI S-Factor Smoothing Lusteriser and blow-dry the hair with a medium round brush to smooth out the cuticle. 12--AC_Iva_021_1000 12 To personalise, remove weight using deep parallel point-cutting through the top.
