Kms california partners with mencap for year-long fundraiser Hair brand KMS California will support Mencap for the next 12 months   Professional hair company, KMS California, has announced that their chosen UK charity for the next 12 months will be Mencap. The partnership aims to raise £20,000 for the learning disability charity, with support from the KMS California UK team and salon stockists. As well as fundraising events throughout the year, KMS will also be hosting Mencap Week in September, with £1 from every product sold in-salon going directly to the charity. This will run in conjunction with a competition to win tickets to Mencap's annual Little Noise Sessions; a series of high-profile intimate gigs in November, which KMS will also be supporting. And proving that there's more to the partnership than just fundraising, KMS will also be providing Style Sessions for young people with learning difficulties to help them master basic hairdressing techniques and gain valuable work experience. To launch the partnership, KMS invited Mencap receptionist, Josie, to their academy in London to film a short video - watch it below to find out more about the invaluable work that the charity do; Mark Mcgoogan, Director of Fundraising at Mencap, says: "We are delighted to be KMS California’s first charity of the year partner. We have some really exciting plans to raise £20,000 throughout the year. Every penny raised will help support people with a learning disability to live independently."
