Voodou Salons have launched a virtual boutique, helping them communicate with their clients better than ever before.

The Liverpool chain, who won Website of the Year at HJ's British Hairdressing Business Awards,  undertook extensive research into how consumers shop online before launching their etail site this year.

Managing director Rob Webb says: "We understand how important having a good online presence is and how technology can only make life easier for our clients. As a business we're always looking at new ways to give our clients something different than other salons and we feel our boutique is the next exciting thing we can offer them.

"Each week we put a range of discounted products and services inside the online boutique as well as exclusive offers from companies such as Gusto and Olive."

Over the last six months, the salon group has also introduced an online booking system, payment via iPad and launched a free app for bookings and last-minute appointments.
