South Nottingham College has been rebranded as Central College Nottingham, with a stylish new salon education space at the centre.

The new hairdressing academy is part of a £4 million investment and was launched with a live demonstration and education evening from Goldwell's global ambassador Lisa Whiteman.

Lisa, who won Goldwell's International Color Zoom competition in 2011, presented new trends in cut and colour and shared some of the techniques used to create the looks.

Alison Asbury, Head of Lifestyle at Central College Nottingham, said: "It was an inspirational event and Lisa and her team were very motivational. Since the event it has been the talk of the college and students have been keen to try out the techniques which Lisa made look easy and achievable.

"It was exciting for Nottingham to have a touch of London fashion looking at styles of the future. The salon itself has taken off way beyond our expectations with clients all commenting that they have never seen a college which looked so professional and made them feel like they were going to a Spa."
