Celebrity fringes are a cut above HJI Hearts logo.bmphji-hearts-carly-rae-jepsen-fringe.jpgFringes are one of the biggest trends of the season, giving clients a quick and easy way to instantly update their look with a style that can easily by adapted to suit all face shapes and hair textures.

One cut, one hundred ways to wear it - the fringe is one of Autumn/Winter 2012's key looks and its most valuable selling point is its versatility.

Whether worn short and sharp or long, soft and centre-parted, there's a fringe style to suit every face shape and hair texture making it a perennial favourite as well as on-trend choice this season.

See the catwalk ways to wear it here and our favourite celebrity takes on the trend below;

Nicole Richie
"We're used to seeing Nicole working the boho trend but this fringe, along with the smooth blow dry, gives her a much more sophisticated look. Cutting into the fringe gives a bit of an edge to her style but still gives an overall softer feel. The longer layers give versatility to the cut, as does the soft fringe - it can be worn in various ways, which works well with Nicole as she mixes up her look regularly."
Gary Murdoch, Paterson SA, Edinburgh

Carly Rae Jepsen
"Good fringes never date; a fringe provides a client with a simple way of making a statement with their hair, and a good stylist with the opportunity to balance and flatter their clients' features and style. Fuller, lash-tickling fringes like Carly Rae's are a definite trend this season. When cut well, they make cheekbones pop while playing down softer or wider jawlines. If your client's best feature is their eyes, there aren't many ways as good as this to show them off."
Alfie Booth, Trevor Sorbie, Hampstead

Bella Heathcote
"For me, Bella's hairdresser has captured the perfect length and width for her fringe. It opens up her amazing eyes and symmetrical face shape - a tailor-made style and a great example of why bobs and fringes reappear as a catwalk classic every season."
Marcello Moccia, Room:97, Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Jessica Biel
"Jessica always looks beautiful. She's blessed to have the face shape that suits the majority of fringe styles and this block fringe looks great on her. It adds interest to her style and frames the face perfectly. The only change that I would possibly make is to blend the fringe in a bit more with the rest of her hair - at the moment it looks somewhat disconnected. She looks great though - always an eye-catcher on the red carpet!"
Gary Taylor, Edward & Co, Brighouse, West Yorkshire
