Over 500 staff, industry press and VIP guests joined together to celebrate the 2012 HOB Awards, held at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town, London.

Sponsored by Wella Professionals, ghd and Alterna, the evening rewarded and recognised the dedication and hard work of staff throughout the 23-salon group.

The night was hosted by HOB Salons general manager, Sean Dawson, who opened the proceedings with a welcome before a film highlighting the company's achievements over the last two years was splashed across screens.

This was echoed by a further speech by the HOB directors, Akin Konizi, Clive Collins and Paul Simbler, touching on their numerous award wins but mostly acknowledging their successful franchisees, office staff, support from the industry and of course their amazing salon teams.

Then it was on to the awards, presented by Sean, Akin, Clive and Paul and special guests including HJ's publisher/editor-in-chief Jayne Lewis-Orr, managing director of Wella Professionals, Daniel Minney, Professional Hairdresser's editor, Nicola Shannon, and Tribute's UK publisher, Nicky Pope.

Reflecting on the evening's events, HOB director Paul Simbler said: "With such a fantastic two years we had a lot to celebrate tonight - not only our achievements but also of the people who made it possible. We are beyond proud and it is fantastic to acknowledge and reward the hard work and commitment of our team."
