It's no coincidence that Hollywood's hottest leading ladies have all opted for this hue, with Michelle Williams giving her much-loved pixie crop an auburn refresh and The Artist star, Bérénice Bejo, also opting for a pale copper colour.

Here, we take a look at the best strawberry blonde shades for summer with thoughts from some of the industry's brightest colour creators.

Jessica Chastain
"Jessica's stunning hair is a real showstopper. Heavily influenced by the iconic pin-up girls of the 1950s, Jessica's chosen style is extremely feminine. Pin curls like these formed the foundations of most styles in the era and they can be used on all types, textures and lengths of hair. Pin curls also have the advantage of being fairly easy to create after a little practice."

Amy Adams
"Amy's rusty, copper-hued hair looks gorgeous with this natural chic style. Finished off with bouncy curls and lots of body, this look is bang on-trend and very popular on the red carpet. Her two-piece dress flatters her petite figure very well and her soft hair colour complements the overall look perfectly."
Nicola Picknell, Bonce Salons, West Midlands

Bérénice Bejo
"Bérénice favours an understated elegance and looks great here. The colour sets off her skin tone perfectly, but perhaps it could do with a little more punch. A smudging of soft gold and pale copper through the internal area would create a multi-tonal feel rather than a block colour. On the styling front, I would have defined the waves more to bring out the red-carpet glamour."
Ronnie Marshall, Byron Hairdressing, Kirkcaldy

Michelle Williams
"Michelle looks great with her modern take on a 1960s Twiggy cut accentuating her heart-shaped face and soft feminine features. Although, I would love to strengthen this classic look with a slight undercut, darkened down using a cool, denser tone with the top section over-layered with a longer length and strong perimeter. This section would look great pre-lightened then toned with a cool, pearly hue."
