Young hollywood stars perfect their red carpet styles HJI Hearts logo.bmpElle-Fanning-small.jpgWith award season over for another year, HJi looks back at the Hollywood débutantes who made their first A-list appearances on the red carpet this season.  This year has been all about new talent, with stars including Chloe Moretz and Hailee Steinfeld winning acclaim for their acting and approval for their red carpet dressing too.

Striking the balance between looking age-appropriate and on-trend is tricky, but these young women do it with style - we can't wait to see where they go next!

Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld may be just 14 years old, but has wowed on the red carpet this season with her fun, fashion-forward looks. Her hair remains long, but clever styling prevents looking child-like.

"This is a beautiful, classic look," says Lisa Panetta, Byron Hairdressing, Kirkcaldy. "However the middle-parting is still on trend for Spring/Summer. To enhance her style for a more Hollywood look, Hailee could add some soft, pale truffle and gold tones to give a fuller look with more texture. A stronger wave would create more volume to embrace this season's 70's vibe."

After launching on to the big screen last year with Kick-Ass, Chloe Moretz is now making waves with Let Me In. Her no-fuss style is spiced up with a hint of colour and breezy styling.

Lizzie Bardsley, Ethos Hairdressing, Manchester says: "Chloe looks great with this wavy long bob. It's a cool style and really works for her heart-shaped face, but she seems to be hiding behind her grown-out fringe. A side fringe would definitely work for her, kept slightly longer so that it would naturally fall in place across the eye but could also easily be pushed aside."

Elle Fanning isn't a total stranger to the red carpet - big sister Dakota has no doubt taught her a thing or too about posing. Plaits are a huge trend for Spring/Summer so full marks for this styling choice.

William Ackerley of Electric Hair comments: "I love this Grecian-inspired reworking of the classic braid, which shows a clear awareness of an upcoming hair trend - executed perfectly."

"Managing to look both youthful and graceful, it's quite fitting that Elle's braid is styled to look like a crown, as it seems she has all the makings of an up-and-coming Hollywood princess."

Emma Stone is positively ancient at 22 years old, but this year her burgeoning career is set to go stellar. Having recently ditched her red locks, Emma is now set for stardom as a blonde.

"This style is a beautiful mix of strong blonde tones, with a nice full fringe that's been texturised on the ends," explains Juan Luis Gosp of Trevor Sorbie, Covent Garden. "The layering through the front complements her jawline and really frames her face. This style makes Emma her one of the most modern-looking young Hollywood stars."
