Wella professionals offers insight into 2011 trends

Darren and Stuart.jpgThe Wella Professionals Trend Collection 2011 Insight Seminars are designed to inspire and inform those intending to enter the regional heats of this national competition, giving an insight into how to create the four looks in this year's collection - one of which entrants will have to interoperate.

The four trends this year are Lumina, Glamazon, Passionata and Polaris, and at each of the seminars, covering major cities across the UK, they were interpreted by Darren Ambrose and Stuart Bane from D&J Ambrose in Pinner Middlesex.

With futuristic Lumina, Darren's model sported a modern pageboy cut with a strong contour and soft flowing texture, featuring metallic rose and gold blonde tones. For Glamazon, earthy colours and matte gold tones combined for a more lived-in look, with a Galliano headpieceWTV 2011.jpg completing the trend.

The D&J Ambrose interpretation of Passionata had a retro vibe with a rolled fringe forming the focal point and colour a saturated, statement red. For Polaris the pair presented a couture version, with strong monochrome colour, complementing edgy waves.

Audiences were also treated to a presentation by Wella Professionals Care & Style UK ambassador, Desmond Murray from Atherton Cox, who presented a Spring/Summer collection alongside members of the Generation Now team.

The collection featured structured shapes with texture and form as the basis for all the looks, with looks including a short crop and a sculptured up-do.

Those wanting to compete in Wella Professionals Trend Vision 2011 only have until Monday 28 March to submit their photographic entry.
