Olivia has a starring role in futuristic Disney blockbuster Tron - a film which has inspired the likes of Mark Hayes, and which looks set to have an impact on fashion, art, and design throughout 2011.

While promoting the upcoming film, Olivia has rocked an array of on-trend hairstyles, proving herself to be as versatile with her styling as her film roles. From slicked back retro styles to voluminous curls, we take a look at some of her best styles.

We asked HJ's London Hairdresser of the Year Skyler McDonald of seanhanna salons and Clive Johnson of Clive Alexander to share their thoughts on Olivia's latest looks.

Olivia rocks a catwalk-style topknot as well as any model with this curving bun.

Shaped around donut padding, this updo has an equestrian vibe, particularly paired with a slicked back crown and smooth, frizz-free finish.

Worn with a sequinned dress and minimal makeup, this is a fashion-forward look which looks fresh from the runway.

"This sleek, high knot is great and perfectly on trend," says Skyler.

"It looks amazing on Olivia, and is perfect for a night out. Not everyone can pull off such a severe style though, so I'd recommend a slightly softer, looser bun, with a few wispy tendrils escaping for a more casual vibe."

"Clean hair is best for this look, as your roots are completely on show!"

This look is pure modern Hollywood - long, glossy and polished.

Rather than rocking full-on bouncy curls, here Olivia keeps things current with loose, slightly vintage-inspired waves.

Parted on one side, the style shows off her dazzling earrings and feline features.

"Olivia's hair looks like it's in great condition," says Skyler. "This rich, multi-tonal brunette colour really suits her colouring and brings out her eyes."

"The loose, glossy curls really work, but if I were to change anything, I'd add a little more volume at the root as there's a danger of this kind of style looking a bit flat over time."

"A boost of volume would give a bit of sexiness and staying power."

This twisted back updo has a slight 1940s feel, but the slick finish brings it up to date.

Slicked down and parted low on one side, the style has a gamine feel, which is enhanced with the cool Breton stripe top.

Olivia's trademark minimal makeup prevents this vintage-style look from feeling too costume.

Clive isn't convinced however, commenting: "Olivia scored a hair faux pas here, as her Gallic efforts are a tad contrived."

"Her hair is pulled too severely from the face which doesn't do her angular features any favours. To soften the look I'd restyle with messy plaits, criss crossing over the front, and loosely pinned."

"Perhaps Olivia was attempting to stylishly conceal day old hair but next time I'd highly recommend dry shampoo to soak up oily roots for a fresher finish!"

The tumbling asymmetric waves hark back to Rita Hayworth's vintage style.

Hair is glossy and shiny, and looks in pristine condition - as does her radiant complexion.

"I love how Olivia's feminine concave curls are in complete contrast to her masculine attire," says Clive.

"It's utterly fresh and breaks all the usual sartorial rules."

"With one side slicked back, it cleverly creates an illusion of an undercut - and top marks for the glints of light reflective chestnut tones!"
