Rachel Bilson 2 new.jpgSince Moroccanoil landed in the UK last year, it has become a firm favourite with salons and celebrities alike. Loved for its hydrating properties as well as its ability to style even the most hard to handle hair, the range has rapidly become a kit bag must-have for red carpet stylists.

Rachel Bilson is the latest celebrity to discover Moroccanoil, after her stylist Marco Santini used the products to create this stunning textured asymmetric look at last month's Costume Gala in New York.

To get the look, Marco used a combination of Moroccanoil's best selling products, as he explains...

"It was a very humid night and Rachel's hair is fine so we had to layer products in a different way to make sure the style not only looked beautiful, shiny and natural but also held up throughout the evening."

Marco created a low part then finger set the hair with Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream, "I used the product to hydrate and smooth her curly texture" he explains, "then I shaped the texture using my hands and the blow dryer."

Moroccanoil Treatment.jpgNext, Marco sprayed the hair with hair spray and curled with a medium barrel iron. To create the asymmetrical style, he sectioned all the hair on the left of the part then pulled back to give the illusion that Rachel's hair was shorter on one side.

He then created small braids at the ends and tied the partially braided hair into a ponytail using a thin band. He then released the longer section of hair on the right side so that it would fall over and flow down the neck, hiding the ponytail.

"I wanted to finish with a soft polished look so I added a touch more  Moroccanoil Hydrating Cream and finished with Moroccanoil Luminous Hair Spray."
