Hairraising bike ride 2010 for great ormond street hospital If you enjoy cycling and want to raise money and awareness for HAIRraising, the hairdressing charity that helps to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, sign up for the HAIRraising London to Paris Bike Ride.

Taking place on 5-6 September, the two day challenge covers around 200km and winds its way through historic towns, sleepy villages and rolling countryside. Cyclists start out from Great Ormond Street Hospital and finish at the spectacular Eiffel Tower in Paris.

bike-ride-small.jpgHAIRraising is hoping to raise £1 million towards new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the appeal has been co-founded by industry icon John Frieda and many other high-profile industry names support the cause.

Don't panic if you're not in Olympic shape as the ride is designed for people with average fitness levels who are prepared to train in order to take part. Training guidelines will be given to participants before the event.

How does it work?

Registration for the event is £99 and you will need to commit to raising a minimum of £1000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital and cover the costs of the trip which is £330. There's no need to worry about how you might raise funds either as support and fundraising ideas are part of the package.

Vist the HAIRraising and Classic Tours websites for more details.
