Akin konizi signs up to hairraising

HJ's 2009 British Hairdresser of the Year, Akin Konizi, is the latest big name to sign up as a partner in John Frieda's HAIRraising  charity, which aims to raise £1 million for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Said Akin: "Hairdressing, more than ever, is such a rewarding profession and so it's so nice to be able to give something back. At HOB, supporting charitable causes is important to us but this campaign is great because it is something our whole profession is getting behind and John has done a great job in instigating that. Plus of course, with 2 children myself, supporting a charity such as Great Ormond Street is close to my heart."

Salons wanting to join in the mammoth fundraising effort should register their salon for a chance of winning more than 50 amazing prizes, including a trip to Brazil with celebrity hairdresser Errol Douglas, and a week's work at John Frieda in LA.
