Launching shiny happy hair product range - andrew

The last few weeks have been the busiest I’ve ever experienced. In fact, what day is it? I’ve been looking for the perfect new recruits to join the Saks Art Team. We had loads of enquiries from our recruitment campaign in HJ both from the UK and abroad… which is great. We then had to read between the lines of glittering CVs, before interviewing and trade testing the applicants. We’ve got a couple of real superstars, who’ll be great once we’ve taken them through their induction training. Being in the Art Team is a specialist job that combines teaching groups in our Academies; travelling the world presenting hair shows and seminars to international audiences; working on shoots and much more. It’s creatively very different to working in the salon. We've got two new team members on board and I’m still looking for another two people to join us!I’ve been manically filming 10 Years Younger, the TV show I work on, seeing clients and trying to get through the backlog of clients I had to postpone when I broke my ankle. The ankle is definitely on the mend; but getting through the backlog is tough! I’m currently fully booked in the salon until July 2008 - so even three postponed clients is a logistic nightmare! I’ve been reflecting on 2007 and what a brilliant year it was for me and my team; but there are also so many new, exciting opportunities I have ahead. The word has finally leaked out and, after working on the project for the last 18 months, I’m thrilled to tell you I’m launching my own product range, but I’ll tell you more about Shiny Happy Hair by Andrew Barton in my next blog! I’m off to the Maldives for plenty of beach and sunshine over Christmas so I hope Santa finds me there. And I'll bring you up to date with all my happenings in January… For now, Merry Christmas and wishing all readers a brilliant year ahead.
