Keith broughton resigns Today we received a statement from the National Hairdressers' Federation confirming that Keith Broughton - 'star' of last week's BBC 2 documentary Hair Wars - has resigned his position as leader of Team GB. Here's the NHF's statement in full:"Having earlier in the week apologised and tendered his resignation to the President it was with regret that the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the NHF on Sunday 29th April resolved that this should be accepted with immediate effect. Michael Thornhill, the President said "This has been a very difficult decision as we all know the passion and flair Keith brought to the Team in its efforts to win. We all need time to reflect on the lessons learned and to set standards for representing our country and profession in which we can all be proud." He went on "Keith is a highly regarded member of our competition squad and will continue in his role as an International Judge. We wish him all success in the future" The NEC further resolved that Michael Thornhill should act as caretaker manager whilst a new manager is sought to ensure that Team GB is ready to take Golds in the competitions running up to and at the World Championships in Chicago next year. Michael said "We have an excellent team, something Keith can be proud of and we will be building on his good work to achieve the success the team deserve"
